Most of my life has always been about "art" and/or "creating" something! So much inspiration and lessons came from my grandmother, Alma (thus, I named my shop after her), as she taught me so much. She instilled in me, especially, her love of antiques and vintage things. So, as I grew up, I too, collected the "old" things that I loved!

As a career as a graphic artist for a large corporation, the creating continued...and I was getting paid for it! Years of pen and ink drawings and watercolors of old historical architecture was a side line passion. Also, sewing...combining colors, textures and fabrics, and utilizing embellishments....just so many ways to be creative. And, I've always loved old photos, particularly studying the jewelry worn in those pictures. So, my own "vintage" style jewelry making began! Thus, I've been designing and making jewelry in the nostalgic vintage style for nearly 18 years and still love it. The outlet has been primarily art fairs, and local boutiques. So, it was time to also open my Etsy Shop, From Alma's Attic!!

I work out of an upstairs room....my "creative little nest", overlooking my backyard garden. Here, spools of ribbon, stacks of fabrics, paints and boxes and drawers full of old buttons, beads and findings....a whole crayola box of fun things to create with!! A little music, a peaceful setting - thus, my retreat to let inspirational flow!!

Creativity has no limitations...there is always something new to learn and try to incorporate in designs. I love vintage images (especially French motifs), birds, nature and subtle colors and the use of resin in much of my work. So, with an art background and loving the creative times with my grandmother........From Alma's Attic began!!
